Take a break, find your kindness.
Capitalism wants us to compete,
to hate each other,
to fight each other,
to grow tribal in the manifestations of our values and ideas.
But today, say we will not do those things.
We will make a hot tub in the yard with an old Rubbermaid,
sing some songs, deliver things to neighbours,
clean up the playground, make art, send mail,
play games, dance, cook, work,
learn a new house job that someone else always does, share.
I love you, get on the swing set, pendulum, whatever this is…
its going to be a lot of a lot over the coming months…
we’ ve been preparing for this.
And just in case,
if anyone needs twenty bucks – I have two-,
a phone call, a song, a poem, a reminder to get outside,
a wish, a recipe, how to change your cars oil or check car basics,
some tips for starting seeds, help because your toilet isn’t flushing,
garden planning, I can give it to you.
The sharing economy has arrived.
